Project T.R.Y (The Real You)
Project T.R.Y. stresses that anyone can be who they authentically are without having to be crippled or hindered by any form of addiction, depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety or fears. Through Project T.R.Y., LAN Health Initiative implements engaging educational programs for youths with the goal of creating healthier communities that are socially responsible and drug free.
What makes LAN different?
Religious Outreaches
The need for religious institutions to join the fight against drug abuse, mental illness stigma, and poor patient advocacy has always been necessary in the actualization of a healthy society. LAN Health Initiative collaborates with religious institutions in communities to conduct outreaches aimed towards awareness and advocacy, in order to promote healthier communities
COMMUNITY SENSITIZATION
As part of our purpose, we aim to identify the potential risk factors of individuals struggling with addiction, mental illness, and other health breakdowns. Through our community outreach programs, we asses their health needs and design programs to help them move out of harm’s way via crisis intervention, education, and providing physical safety when necessary.
School Clubs
LAN Health Initiative works with various schools within the FCT-Abuja district and Northern states such as Kano and Kaduna, and hopes to extend partnership to more states with the vision of building the capacity of children from an early age to be advocates for a drug free society. With the cooperation of the educational board, we have been able to establish the LAN Young Ambassadors (LANYA) and LAN Kids Ambassadors (LANKA) clubs
